Wednesday, May 21st, 2014
From 27th to 28th March 2014, SATUCC conducted a Trade Union Researchers’ Seminar on Labour Market Information Systems (LMIS) in Gaborone, Botswana.
Following the outcome of this seminar, SATUCC has now embarked on a pilot project on Labour Market Information Systems (LMIS)-Social Dialogue Indicator initially covering four affiliates namely: OTM (Mozambique), ZaCTU (Zambia), ZiCTU (Zimbabwe) and MCTU (Malawi). Eventually, more affiliates will be incorporated into this process. This pilot project is part of the on-going SATUCC research and information management strategy to build the capacity in affiliates’ ability to organise labour market information, collect data and have a uniform reporting methodology to the SATUCC secretariat.
